Benjamin on Big Brother

Benjamin on Big Brother 2012 Channel 9The housemates seem to be the usual mix of young people with varying degrees of confidence, good looks and personallity. I can’t wait to see the overly confident ones crash and burn. Particularly that Benjamin clown. I feel like punching that dude in the guts and then saying to him “So Benjamin, do you still want to ‘tell it like it is’?” … You still keen on ‘shaking things up a little’?” He’s the sort of guy that craves attention and will verbally bully, offend and humiliate anyone that gets in his way to get that attention.

Another thing with Benjamin on Big Brother is his gayness and his forcefullness of making sure everyone knows he is. The fact he is gay is obviously not an issue. It’s the fact that within 2 minutes of being in the Big Brother house, he had already announced several times that he is gay. For a guy that claims to be confident, he is obviously extremely insecure to have to lay ground work like that.

For example, I’m married. If I’m at the pub and a girl starts talking to me (hardly ever happens, but bare with me), I don’t feel it necessary to let them know that I’m married with the first words that come out of my mouth. That would imply that I think she is coming onto me, purely because she is talking to me. And the fact that I am married probably has NOTHING to do with anything we are talking about.

So to put it back into perspective of Benjamin from Big Brother, rather than introducing himself as “Hi I’m Benjamin, you look like a bogan with that hair, oh and I’m gay” … A more suitable approach would have simple been “Hi I’m Benjamin, how’s it going?” We get that you’re gay, that’s fine. We get that you’re happy and proud about it. Just don’t shove it down our throats (so to speak).

Seriously, what a wanker. I don’t think this is the last i’ll be writing on Benjamin. Definitely not a fan.
